python - Is it possible to read/write HDF5 file from S3 in local computer?

问题描述:

  • Local laptop environment (OS) : Window 10
  • Language : Python 3.5.2

I'd like to store huge amount of datas as HDF5 format via Python PyTables. Since my local laptop has no much storage left, I'm trying to store these datas in AWS S3.

If so, can I do something like below?

import tables as tb

path = 'MY_AWS_S3_STORAGE_PATH_URL'

filename = path + 'data.h5'

h5 = tb.open_file(filename, 'w') # writing data to S3

or

h5 = tb.open_file(filename, 'r') # reading data from S3

If I can, the only thing I have to do is to create my own AWS S3 and get url of it?

Need your helps. Thanks
